For painting, yes. The window opens 1 hour before kickoff and closes 3 hours after the match starts. Outside that you can watch the map, but a check-in does not score.

What if I follow several teams?

Follow as many as you like. You paint for whichever one is playing at the time — you never have to pick one or switch anything before a match.

How long is the window?

Four hours in total: one before kickoff and three from the moment it starts. Enough for a long match, extra time and the celebration.

Do before and after the match count?

Yes. Getting to the bar early counts the same, and so does staying after, as long as you are inside those hours. A check-in is worth the same at any point in the window.

What about the other days?

The map keeps what you won, but it fades 20% every Monday. Holding an area means coming back — which is why a crowd that turns up every matchday beats one that turned up once.

10 at home, 25 at a listed venue, 50 at the stadium. A silver-star venue adds 10 more (35 in total) and a gold-star venue adds 20 more (45). The full table is above.

Venues that pay to stand out on the map. Silver adds +10 to your check-in, gold adds +20. A venue with just a dot and no star still pays the 25.

Why did my friend score more at the same bar?

Almost always the ×1.5: if their team holds under 35% of that area and yours does not, they get the multiplier and you do not. The other cause is GPS — if yours was off by more than 75 metres your check-in counted as home.

Your total is in your profile, and every point also feeds your team’s ranking by area, city, country and worldwide.

If your team holds under 35% of that area, the base is multiplied by 1.5. The star bonus is added after, unmultiplied. Painting where you are outnumbered is worth more:

The first person to paint an area always counts as outnumbered: nobody holds it yet.

Why it is sometimes 10

To pay the venue rate we have to know you are inside it, not near it: if your GPS is off by more than 75 metres the check-in counts as home. You still paint, and the app tells you what happened.

Where your points go

Every point adds to your total in your profile and to your team’s ranking by area, city, country and worldwide. An area only paints in public once 5 different people are in it — a privacy rule, not a fault.

Nobody sees where you are

KROMA never puts a person on the map. Places and totals only, and only once there are enough fans that no one is identifiable. Your location is deleted after 4 hours.
